Loco (Barbara Eden) is dating Louisiana cotton tycoon Robert E. Harper (country boy character actor Robert Easton). While at dinner they are imposed upon by Jerry Wilson (familiar character actor Jesse White), an acquaintance of Loco's who bills himself as "the world's second greatest comedian". A jealous Robert breaks up with Loco. Jerry asks Gwen (Lisa Gaye) to give him some publicity. Her boss George Davis (Robert Christopher) runs away with the idea of Jerry splitting up Loco's romance with Robert and goes to the papers with it. After Loco and Robert work on things the story causes problems between them, and with Jerry and his girlfriend Grace (Muriel Landers).
