Even for a TV sitcom,, this is an excellent produced show.
In this hilarious episode, Klink believes that General Burkhalter wants him to marry his beautiful niece. It goes as far as Burkhalter bring his sister and niece to meet the Colonel of Stalag 13. It will be a shock to everyone, including Hogan, when the person that wants to get married is Burkhalter's sister, Gertrude Linkmyer.
It is going to be a fun episode as Klink only has eyes for the niece-- but when he finds out that it is Burkhalter's sister the show becomes uncomfortable for everyone, including the viewer.
This is a wonderful show that takes us away from the horrors of the war and places us right in the middle of a very amusing comedy. Kathleen Freeman, which we we see many times later, does a great job of playing the General's sister that has eyes on getting married. Of all thirty-two episode of the first season, this is for me the most enjoyable of them all. Not that I give excellent ratings for a TV sitcom often , but this show was entertaining in more ways than one. An excellent show by both the regular cast and the guest-stars.
