Bach is said to have written this piece in memory of his first wife, and the character Devereux can be seen mourning his wife when the Chaconne is heard on the soundtrack.
Felicia Martins is the first female immortal depicted in the television series and the "Highlander" franchise in general. Starting with the film "Highlander" (1986), all previously depicted immortals were male.
Although this is the fifth episode aired, it was the first to be filmed as the producers were adamant that Joan Jett would play Felicia Martins / Felice Marténs and they had to work around her schedule.
