HIGH INCIDENT – "Till Death Do Us Part" – 1996

This Police drama ran during 1996-97 and is set El Camino California. It follows the lives of several of the officers of the precinct. The series was created by actor, writer Eric Bogosian. The series was produced by Bogosian and Steven Spielberg. This is the second episode of the series.

This episode starts with the funeral of Officer Rocky Carroll, who was slain in the pilot episode. His partner, Matt Craven is overcome with feeling of guilt over Carroll's death. He is also drawn towards Carroll's widow, Wendy Davis.

R. Lee Emery, plays the father of Officer Catherine Kellner, who does a ride along with his daughter and Julio Oscar Mechoso. The Ex-Marine comes across as a closed minded racist to Mescoso. This changes somewhat when Emery helps translate for the cops on a robbery call.

This is just a great show with the daily routine stuff inter-spaced with moments of fast action and tension. Well worth a look if you can find the series.

The episode was also directed by Charles (Hill Street Blues) Haid
