After the others have left she hits him on the head, killing him, and is arrested for murder. - Monica is enjoying her life living with James Cornell in his room at the Grand but when he is suddenly called away and returns to London, she is left with no place to live. His colleague, Jackson Tyler, invites Monica to his room but while she initially declines, soon realizes she has nowhere else to go. When Tyler arrives with two of his mates, Monica is beaten and raped. Instead he got quite drunk and passed out in his own room. In the aftermath, she kills Tyler and is taken away by the police. Kate is upset with Stephen who had promised to keep an eye on Monica. Meanwhile, preparations for Marcus and Ruth's wedding are proceeding, but he treats her badly and it's not obvious why he wants to marry her.—garykmcd
