Incredibly funny and entertaining chapter. I couldn't stop laughing. And Chandler took this chapter, as did Ross.

Can't this episode be better? It is amazing and fun. Rachel's competitive war against Ross enchanted me.

I have seen this episode so many times.
I recorded it on vhs 26 years ago when it first came out and i watched it so many times as a teenager.
It definitely holds up entertainment wise.
So many fun memorable lines.
Love it.
Not a 10...either a 9 or 8...hmmmmm. I think it lacks the depth I like for special episodes. It's all sitcomy on the surface stuff.
I'll go with 8.

One Of The Best Of The First Season Plot In A Paragraph: When the girls hear about the guys playing poker without them, they ask them to teach them, so they can join in. When the girls lose all their money Monica asks her poker playing auntie to teach them how to win and demand a rematch. When Rachel complains about them taking their money Ross gives a big speech about how "he is not a nice guy when he plays poker" Who didn't see the end of this episode coming? The Rachel applying for (and not getting) jobs she is not qualified for subplot was a bit lame, and only seemed to be there for the finale of the episode.
We all know Rachel had never worked a day in her life till she started at the coffee shop, no she is applying for big assistant buyer jobs at Saks on 5th avenue, and is surprised when she doesn't get them. Its only purpose was so she'd be sad as her and Ross go one on one in the last game.
That said I love Jennifer Aniston, and she looks very cute here

I can't agree with other reviews of this episode, for me it's one of my least favourites from what overall was a very strong first season of the show.
It has its moments, and there's some lovely interactions, but aside from them all playing poker not much really happens.
