Perfection doesn't deserve a remake. It deserves a rewatch.
sergeman_ec-133-26518029 November 2018
For, perhaps, the fifth time, I just finished watching all ten seasons of "Friends". The first time Instarted to watch it, I was in the middle of college. Now I'm 44 and it still gets me. The best, funniest, most well written sitcom in the history of television. Perfection doesn't deserve a remake. It deserves a rewatch.

Perfect ending to a perfect show
liam-morrell120 August 2015
It deeply saddened me to witness the end of arguably the best sitcom ever made. However, I believe this final episode was the perfect way to say a final farewell to the characters we have loved since the first time we saw them.

I cherish every moment I have spent watching this magnificent show and will no doubt continue re-watching for as long as I can see. I can't imagine I shall be able to appreciate a television show ever again the way I appreciated Friends.

Goodbye to an incredible show and to my six best friends. You may be gone now but you will forever remain in my heart.

The Last One: Part 2
ComedyFan201016 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
Wonderful ending of a wonderful show.

It is very sweet to see Joey with the birds. Very funny to see Joey walking around the apartment looking for them and Chandler and Monica walking in on them. "We were wondering why it takes you so long, but now we understand that you were doing THIS". Great! And then another sweet moment between Chandler and Joey when they need to say good bye to their table

Phoebe was awesome in this episode. Her being a crazy driver. The whole story with the filange that made the whole plane in panic, and also her yelling "Raaaaacheeeel!" and saving the situation!

And then after this it is almost hard to control tears. Ross being heartbroken because Rachel left, him listening to this message where she says that she loves him...This message is done greatly, especially towards the end when we realize that Rachel wanted back to him but we don't know if she made it and then we hear "I got of the plane" right behind Ross. What a great ending for their story And then the final scene where everyone puts their keys on the table. Very sad to see that!

The one that broke me
acedj28 October 2019
It is never easy saying goodbye to characters that have been part of your life for ten years. With the way we consume media today, someone with enough time on their hands can finish a series like this in a week or so.Sure, you get invested in the characters, but that is not the same as inviting them into your house for ten years straight. The way the writers finish this series killed me. They tie up any lose ends and give you hope that the characters, the six people that have become your friends, will be ok without you. This is both my favorite and least favorite episode in the entire series.

Helped coping my emotional breakdowns
lovesidhuy22 May 2020
I always watched friends whenever i had breakdowns.

Man I was so stressed out the day I watched the last episode and I think I couldn't have any better day to watch it.

I cried the whole episode and felt relaxed. I wish my problems also ended with the series.

Almost a Perfect Ending
jwhiz-924967 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I had always heard that Friends set the stage for how a sitcom should end and that many other shows have tried to achieve the satisfying ending that Friends did. For the most part, I can agree with that, but not fully.

Lets start off with what I thought was the most satisfying ending, Chandler and Monica. Obviously, the ending to their storyline was getting their kid (which turned out to be twins) from Erica and then moving to the suburbs to raise them. This allowed Monica to finally be able to raise children like she had always hinted at wanting to do ever since the early seasons. This also symbolized Chandler finally completely growing up. He went from being the guy who was terrified of commitment and couldn't take anything seriously to being married and a parent of 2 children, which I thought was an awesome ending for the both of them. Simultaneously, I thought their ending was the saddest (other than Joey's but i'll get to that later). Them moving out of the apartment and having kids represented the end of an era. Their friend group would never really be the same again. The apartment was symbolic for their close knit friend group, they had all lived there, it was one of their biggest hangout spots, and them handing over the keys to it symbolized a close knit, goofy, finally grown up friend group that had to finally be adults and not dysfunctional 20-30 year olds.

Now onto my personal favorite ending, while not the most satisfying, I liked it the most. This would be the ending to Ross and Rachel's storyline, the two who were forever on and off... until now. In what I thought was a beautiful, unpredictable, cliff hanging manner, they brought Ross and Rachel together forever. I really loved the storyline to get up to the point of Ross proclaiming his love to Rachel and vice versa. The only part that wasn't satisfying was the fact Rachel had to give up her dream job in Paris, but she still got to keep her job in NYC on a higher pay and be with the man she loved rather than being on a different continent than him. I feel like this made them both much happier than they would be if she had actually moved to Paris. I pretty much knew they had to pair them up in the end to have a satisfying ending, and I'm so glad they came through with it.

Now for Phoebe. I thought her ending was really good too. She finally got stability in her life, something she had never had before. She was with a man she loved and who loved her quirks and weirdness. She got a wedding that was unique, which was definitely fitting for her. We also got the hint that Mike wanted to have kids, which Phoebe agreed with, meaning we can only imagine they lived a happy life in the end.

Now for the saddest ending, Joey. Joey was the only character that really didn't have an ending. His life stayed the same for the most part. He got a new chick and a duck and 3 casseroles and a broken foozball table, but thats it. The broken foozball table was sad, as it represented the end to Chandler and Joey's super close, amazing friendship because theyd no longer be within a hallway of each other again. He didn't get coupled up with anyone either. I know the writers wanted to show that Joey was always happy with how his life had been throughout the entire show, but the fact is that everyone around him had grown up and had been coupled up, but this made Joey seem so alone in the end. They could've at least gave him a big acting gig or something. I just really thought Joey's ending was pretty sad because he practically lost all his best friends and would be super alone in the future.

My only other complaint is that it kinda didnt feel like an series finale to me. It almost felt like a season finale instead. But the show had to end sometime, and with how long the show ran, im not sure what they could've possibly done to fix that issue. Maybe could've had Ross and Rachel get married again and had a better ending for Joey, but other than that idk. All in all, this was basically the ending I was hoping for and they did a great job of wrapping up the greatest, most well written sitcom ever.

A joyful and friendly finale
studioAT8 January 2017
Warning: Spoilers
After 10 years the world waved goodbye to 'Friends' in this finale that actually does a brilliant job of wrapping up everything, and leaving us with a sense that the characters were going onto exciting new things.

Yes, it's the finale that fans wanted, and we know what's coming, but there are some twists in there to keep us guessing.

We get to see the brilliant comedy team of Matthew Perry and Matt Le Blanc in full swing and also some of the sharpest writing TV has seen.

It's credit to the writing team that they managed to meet all fans expectations with this episode, after so many sitcoms prior or since have made a mess of theirs.

It's 13 years later and we still miss our friends.

The last episode and the end of a great series!
Lady_Targaryen21 May 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Monica and Chandler are in the hospital, waiting Erica give birth to their kid. But in the Hospital, they discover that Erica is pregnant with Twins, and they are going to be parents of a boy and a girl. They decide to name the boy Jack, in honor of Monica's father, and the girl Erica, in honor of their biological mother.

Phoebe tells Ross that he should run after Rachel, and they run to the airport with Phoebe's cab.

A lot of confusion is made, but in the end of this episode, Monica and Chandler move from New York and have twins, Rachel stays with Ross and the fuzzball table is broken to find Joey's little duck. (A present he was going to give to Monica and Chandler)

I was very sad when this episode ended. Friends were a great series!

Ross The Psycho
mnheyjo23 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Worst series ending ever. Worse than Lost. For ten seasons, Rachel has grown professionally and emotionally. For ten seasons, Ross has tried to own and control her. In this final episode, he works frantically behind her back to sabotage a fabulous opportunity for her. And she agrees to stay with him.

The Last One

The most sad episode in the series is seeing the end of the characters that I lived with for ten seasons. I feel that a part of me died. At the end of the series I will have to spend my day without watching friends.

A part of me is now dead
ole-elnaes20 October 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Or so it feels like. I don't keep count anymore, but I must've seen the whole series more than five times by now. And every single time the camera swivels in the empty apartment at the end it gets me. It feels as though a part of me has just died -- a part that I won't ever get back. They become a part of one's life when you watch it, and even if one watches the ten seasons in less than two months, usually, it feels like you've lived a decade with these people, and that you are a part of their lives as well. And now, it's over, once more. Until next time, friends!

A perfect ending
brandonmckay814 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Just finished a rewatch & even 17 years later the finale still gets the tears flowing. A perfect ending for a wonderful show & Rachel getting off the flight for Ross still makes me so happy. Joey & Chandler sharing a hug really hits in my feelings & the final scene of the empty apartment is a nice finish. My only wish is that they finished with some flashbacks before the ending but overall this is one of the best TV finales!

The Last One: Part 1
ComedyFan201016 September 2011
Warning: Spoilers
A great first parent of the finale! The delivery room was great. Chandler feeling awkward alone with Erika and asking her what she thinks hurts more: being in labour or hit in the crotch was awesome. The surprise of twins was also such a good idea and Chandler's reaction made me laugh so much!

Gunther proposing to Rachel was genius! I find it great, and also because it was right before Ross.

We also get to see Joey's ass covered in red paint that left a stain on Monica's couch and Phoebe making it a musical

And the end of this part is also great because Ross finally decides that he doesn't want to get over Rachel and goes after her!

It didn't feel like an ending
aidan-3628830 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This episode was definitely not the way I wanted the show to end. It did not really feel like an ending, but only a set up for the next season because the only thing that really changed was Monica and Chandler moving away. They still live in New York and the show could have still continued. I loved this show, but this ending was not the greatest.

A mediocre ending to what became a mediocre at its
jpapanone1 July 2021
Best...dreadful at its worst, series.

I mean...no comedic reason to watch this one again...at least for 4/5/6 years?

See it just to see it.

It is as satisfying as any other episode the last few seasons. Not very.
