[last lines]
Ricco Poccari: Duchesa, Inspector Carpi has something to say to you.
Olga, Duchesa Della Riviero: Oh, but I thought you'd ...
Inspector Nardi: Hold out your hands please, Duchesa.
Olga, Duchesa Della Riviero: Handcuffs. Oh no, please.
Ricco Poccari: Do as he says, Olga.
Olga, Duchesa Della Riviero: Quelle scandale.
[holds out her hands.]
Inspector Nardi: [places a jewel in Olga's hands.] With our compliments, Duchesa.
Olga, Duchesa Della Riviero: [gasps] Oh.
Ricco Poccari: Not the real one I'm afraid, but an excellent replica.
Olga, Duchesa Della Riviero: Oh, they're lovely, but I don't understand. Who paid for them?
Ricco Poccari: Shall we say, four rather unjust men.
Olga, Duchesa Della Riviero: Oh, Riccardo.
Inspector Nardi is convinced that the jewels are as safe as it can be. Poccari is contacted by the other Just Men that some notorious jewel thieves are on their way to Italy for an audacious jewel robbery.
Although Inspector Nardi manages to arrest three people of the gang. He remains convinced that a fourth person is still at large.
Meanwhile the elderly Duchesa Della Riviero becomes enchanted with the jewels and manages to slip away with them.
Poccari and Inspector Nardi make a good team. At first I thought the good inspector might be crooked.
The Duchesa's pilfering was a bit too much to take. It was still a decent yarn although Poccari took a big risk to rely on the Inspector for his safety.
