Carlos is being audited by the IRS and asks the convent for a list of his contributions. Reverend Mother Placido doesn't know where to find it for him and brings in accident-prone Brother Paul (comedian Rich Little) who organized the convent last. Among a few accidents, Sister Bertrille is most worried about the brick wall being built. When taxman Mr. O' Reilly (prolific sour character actor Charles Lane) arrives early she suggests Brother Paul, who himself was a taxman before joining the order, take the place of Carlos' out-of-town accountant. Things look bleak when some receipts blow away and Mr. O' Reilly grows suspicious.
