Sister Bertrille is developing an important pageant honoring Christopher Columbus' discovery of Puerto Rico. Meanwhile, Carlos' cousin Luis (also portrayed by Alejandro Rey) is back after his dry goods store failed. Carlos suggests Luis to be cast as Columbus. Luis gives it a try but doesn't like the costumes or his co-stars being children. The casino's temporary bookkeeper Marta Vargas (Toian Matchinga) is cast as the leading actress, Queen Isabella. Problems ensue when Luis becomes so attracted to Martha that he is uncomfortable around her. Sister Bertrille goads Carlos into telling Martha how Luis feels and she predictably thinks he is talking about himself. When Luis sees Martha kissing Carlos he runs off where Sister Bertrille tries to intercept with a heart-to-heart.
