Ferris Bueller, the TV spin-off of Ferris Bueller's Day Off, is worth watching amidst all the streaming series and Scandinavian noirs we're confronted with day in and day out. Anyway, I recently saw the Pilot episode on a social media platform, and it wasn't that bad. The director was the legendary British director, Jonathan Lynn, who co-created Yes Minister and Yes Prime Minister and directed My Cousin Vinny.
The cameo appearance by Alan Rachins where he role-plays a lawyer was inspirational. Also a pre-Friends Jennifer Aniston appears as Ferris's sister. Ferris himself is played by Charlie Schlatter, who would later join Diagnosis Murder after replacing the actor who looks like Ben Feldman. I learned that during the Ferris Bueller production, Charlie and Jennifer were a hot couple together.
