The title comes from the opening line of the poem "Home-thoughts, from Abroad" by Robert Browning: "O, to be in England/Now that April's there".
At the time, there was a debate whether or not the Tunnel under the Channel between France and England was going on. In fact, it started in the 19th Century, but it wasn't until 1994, 25 years after this broadcast, that the tunnel was inaugurated (however, it is not mentioned what type of transportation would be used, either car or train...)
Though the Royal Academy is mentioned as Cissy expects to get an interview, Alan Napier (who had its claim to fame as portraying Alfred the butler in Batman, both series and 1966 movie), was a student at this school.
