The episode is based on a real-life incident that happened to Ray Romano's brother. He fled out the window of a woman he met at a bar when he saw she had a bizarre obsession with snakes and the occult.

Ray Romano nearly passed out while filming this episode. After standing with a shocked expression on his face for 3 minutes, and then having to yell out the phrase, "And then she AAATTTTEEE IT!" he started feeling light headed, but managed to stay awake and in character. Ironically, Romano co-wrote the script for this episode.
