- TriviaUnlike 12 Angry Men (1957), there is no opening scene in the court with the judge explaining to the jury their task. Since that Studio 1 was filmed theatre, judge is heard by a micro of the jury room previous to the entrance of the jurors into the room (the only one scenario).

A superb Spanish cast under inspired direction makes this picture excellent in every aspect
Over-the-top drama based on the famous play by Reginald Rose. A dissenting juror, Jose Maria Rodero, is the holdout on a jury who desperately seeks to reconsider their hasty conviction of a young framed of murdering his father. Along with Rodero appear other jury members giving portentous interpretations as Sancho Gracia, Luis Prendes, Antonio Casal, Manuel Alexandre, Carlos Lemos, Pedro Osinaga, Ismael Merlo, Fernando Delgado and Rafael Alonso.
Made for TVE by Gustavo Perez Puig belonging to Estudio 1 series, being well and brilliantly adapted following the classic film directed by Sidney Lumet . The struggle behind closed doors is tense, charged and riveting. The acting level of the cast during some of the intense discussions and debates almost bursts on the screen. Creating an excruciantingly stifling and tensely made atmosphere, director Gustavo Puig delivers as powerful a drama as you are likely to watch on small screen. Among the splendid actors playing, there outstanding Jose Maria Rodero as the dissident voice who tries to convince his colleagues that there might be room for reasonable doubts , Jose Bodalo as a stubborn juror and Jesus Puente as jury president.
There are other adaptations based on the notorious play written by playwright Reginald Rose, these are as follows : The classy Twelve angry men 1957 by Sidney Lumet with Henry Fonda, Jack Warden, Ed Begley, Martin Balsam, Robert Webber, E. G. Marshal, Jack Klugman, Lee J Cobb, Edward Binns. A contemporized version Twelve angry men by William Friedkin 1997 with William H Petersen, Edward James Olmos, Courtney B Vance, Hume Cronyn, James Gandolfini and Jack Lemmon as the sole holdout . A Russian version 2007 by Nikita Mikhalkov with Sergey Gasmash, Yuri Stoyanov, Efremov, Petrenko, Mikhalkov himself, among others.
