- Dr. Arik Soong: [Upon hearing a message from Archer, whom Soong was told was dead] He sounds pretty confident for a dead man.
- Capt. Jonathan Archer: [referring to the Klingons, upon entering their space] Is there something we can do to keep from showing up on their sensors?
- Cmdr. Charles 'Trip' Tucker III: I could paint a Bird-of-Prey on the hull.
- Klingon Com Voice: [When contacted by a Klingon vessel, Archer claims to be on important business for the High Council] I'm not detecting a Council transponder signal. Perhaps you forgot to activate it.
- Capt. Jonathan Archer: You expect me to turn on a transponder and let every ship in the area know that... we have the Chancellor on board?
- Klingon Com Voice: Chancellor M'Rek is on your ship?
- Capt. Jonathan Archer: He had important negotiations with the Orions. We're taking him back to Qo'nos.
- Klingon Com Voice: The Orions!
- [he laughs]
- Klingon Com Voice: I've heard rumors of his 'negotiations' with their females!
- [last lines]
- Dr. Arik Soong: I've been thinking. Perfecting humanity... may not be possible. Cybernetics... Artificial life forms...
- Capt. Jonathan Archer: Goodbye, Doctor.
- Dr. Arik Soong: [still musing] I doubt I'll finish the work myself. Might take a generation or two...
- Cmdr. Charles 'Trip' Tucker III: [to T'Pol] It's not like we would have made an ideal couple. A Vulcan and a Human? Romeo and Juliet probably stood a better chance.
- Dr. Arik Soong: If the Klingons retaliate against Earth, it'll make the Xindi incident look like a lovers' quarrel.
- Dr. Arik Soong: How long can we sustain warp 5?
- Cmdr. Charles 'Trip' Tucker III: As long as the Captain wants it. Or until we blow up, whichever comes first.
- Dr. Arik Soong: Captain. What took you so long?
- [after Enterprise has retrieved him from an escape pod]
- [Soong is led back into his former, now bare prison cell]
- Dr. Arik Soong: You could at least let me finish my work before you take it away and destroy it.
- Capt. Jonathan Archer: No one's destroyed anything. It's being stored in a secure location. Maybe someday, we'll figure out how to use it to benefit Humanity.
- Dr. Arik Soong: I wouldn't count on it.
- Dr. Arik Soong: [to T'Pol] Sorry about that business with the Orions. Hope you weren't permanently injured.
- Cmdr. Charles 'Trip' Tucker III: [stern] Why don't you stay focused on what you're doing?
- Dr. Arik Soong: Whooh! Someone's a little protective of Commander T'Pol.
- Cmdr. Charles 'Trip' Tucker III: I just don't like you very much.
