- Lieutenant Reed discovers a rogue planet, which has broken out of orbit and therefore is devoid of any light. Life is still possible in some places because heat is bubbling up from under the surface, but T'Pol doesn't detect any humanoid life. Further scans however give a strange energy reading which seems to be coming from a ship on the surface. After the crew has landed, they encounter the Eska. The Eska come from another planet and they say they are hunting for the drayjin, an animal considered a delicacy. When captain Jonathan Archer tries to sleep on the planet, he hears a voice calling him by his name. A human female is wandering in the forest. Somehow he seems to know her.—Arnoud Tiele (imdb@tiele.nl)
- The Enterprise finds an errant planet without humanoid life form with a vessel landed in a rain-forest. Archer, T'Pol, Trip, Malcolm and Hoshi take the Shuttlepod to explore and investigate the spot and they meet the Eska hunters Buzaan, Shiraht and Damrus that welcome the group in their camping area. They explain that they are chasing Drayjins, which meat is delicious, in a practice that has been adopted by their people for generations and they call the planet Dakala. They have not been detected by the sensors because they use camouflage to be protected and kill the aggressive shape-shifters wraths that leave a chemical signature when they are afraid. Along the night, Captain Archer hears a woman voice telling him that he needs to understand, and when he follows the voice, he sees a beautiful woman not totally strange for him wandering in the woods.—Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
- The enterprise crew comes upon a rouge planet, and while exploring they encounter a group of hunters who hunts the life forms on the planet yearly. But while observing there hunts, Archer encounters a mysterious woman on the planet who claims that her kind is being targeted.—rdarnow
- A planet appears on sensors, adrift and without a solar system, so Captain Archer has Sub-Commander T'Pol scan the planet. Lieutenant Reed detects a ship near the equator, and an away-team find the remains of a camp-site 200 meters from the alien shuttle. T'Pol and Reed return to the shuttle while Archer and Ensign Sato stay. As they walk through the jungle, they are surprised by two aliens who looked like they were out on a hunt.
Both parties return to the camp, where they find Archer and Sato with another called Damrus (Keith Szarabajka). The 'Eska' call the planet Dakala and they permit the away-team to spend the night. Over dinner, Damrus explains that they have been visiting Dakala for nine generations to hunt the wildlife (The Eska are allowed on the planet only 4 days each year, to preserve the planet). Darmus insists that they don't hurt the higher primates living on the planet.
As the away-team turn in for the night, Archer hears a woman's voice calling his name. He finds a blonde woman (Stephanie Niznik) in a clearing, but she runs away. Later, no one reports seeing anything unusual. Archer insists that it seemed like he had seen this woman before. T'Pol thinks Archer dreamed the whole thing and doesn't give it too much thought. In the morning T'Pol goes to investigate a geothermal shaft and Archer sees the woman again, looking distressed, but again she disappears when the hunting party arrives at the scene from either direction. Meanwhile, Damrus and Burzaan (Conor O'Farrell) detect their quarry, a "Wraith" which attacks Burzaan. Archer has Burzaan sent back to Enterprise for treatment, and Doctor Phlox reports that he has found cellular residue in Burzaan's wound. The cellular residue is mutating and trying to change into something, and cant figure out what it is trying to change into (and hence is in a state of flux) Archer tells T'Pol that he saw the mysterious woman again and that he is not going to leave unless he finds her.
By the steam vents, Archer encounters the woman again. She says that her kind can assume the form of anything on the planet, and that her kind want the hunting to stop (Implying that the Eska come to the planet to hunt her kind). Later, Damrus explains that the reason they visit Dakala is because the prey can sense their thoughts, making them challenging to hunt and kill. Damrus says his father came for the hunt with 8 other hunters, but the wraiths read their minds, trapped them and only 3 made it out alive. Back on board Enterprise, Archer asks Phlox if he can find a way for the wraiths to mask their chemical signature, and soon, on Dakala, the hunting-party begin having problems detecting them. Damrus wonders why, but Archer merely blames it on bad luck. The Eska depart and Archer encounters the woman one final time. As she moves off into the forest, she assumes their natural form, a large gastropod.
