Dr. Carter decides to help Dr. McNulty by making a significant contribution to his street clinic.
- Carter treats Dr. James McNulty's diabetes and finally gets him accept a cheque for his free clinic, only to find it's gone, probably an elaborate scam as there's no records. Carter considers doing overseas voluntary work and finds out but keeps quiet about Pratt covering for halfwit brother Leon and his robber pal, who is 'found' wounded and brought in the ER, along with the cop this so-called friends shot. Weaver's ethics are tested further as Romano orders setting up a photo-op for Alderman John Bright, who increased the hospital's budget while hiding his SOA, and she sees Luka go AWOL after she is unsympathetic to his depressive spiral. Corday is caught off guard by flirtatious hot-shot new surgeon Dr. Eddie Dorset. Romano risks his standing at County by taking the lead on a surgery he still can't complete due to his prosthesis and Dorset refuses to take the blame. Abby's brother Eric, now on bipolar medication, visits to reconcile. Gallant helps put Leon on a bus to Pittsburgh.—KGF Vissers
