The vehicle mentioned in the episode, an Edsel was regarded as a failure for the Ford Motor Company, so there would be few of these on the road.
Upon realizing that Rob might be a witness, Buddy says, " Rob, there are 8 million stories in the naked city and I think you're one of them." The 1958 to 1963 police drama 'Naked City' ended each episode with a narrator saying, "There are 8 million stories in the naked city. This has been one of them."
Rob mentions that the aforementioned Edsel had an "I Like Ike" bumper sticker on it. It's highly unlikely that a bumper sticker from either the 1952 or the 1956 presidential campaign would be on a 1958, 1959 or a 1960 Edsel, the only three model years for the Edsel.
Alan Dexter appeared in two consecutive episodes as different characters.
