- Rob inherits an old roll-top desk from his late great-uncle Hezekiah that contains "wealth" of some sort hinted at in a song.
- Rob and Laura attend the reading of the will left by Rob's elderly Uncle Hezekiah. After some fairly generous financial bequests are given to Rob's relatives, they are ushered out of the room, and Rob and Laura are shown a short film of Uncle Hezekiah informing Rob that he's left him his old roll-top desk; Hezekiah then sings him a chorus of "Me and My Shadow," which is supposed to be a clue to a "treasure" Hezekiah claims is hidden in the desk.—aldanoli
- Rob and Laura have been invited to the reading of the will of Rob's wealthy great uncle, Hezekiah Petrie, whom Rob hadn't seen since Rob was twelve. Rob loved his uncle despite Hezekiah being a miserable old man. As such, everyone else at the reading hated Hezekiah, and only endured his company in the hopes that they got a sizable piece of his estate after he died. Remembering Rob as a twelve year old, Hezekiah provides Rob his farewell message as a riddle via a prerecorded film. Hezekiah says that he has bequeathed to Rob his old roll-top desk, but that it does hold the key to a fortune. When Rob and Laura receive the desk, all they find are an old, run down antique in the desk itself and many seemingly worthless old mementos enclosed within the desk. They are somewhat ashamed to feel the greed associated with whatever that implied fortune. Regardless, they try to unravel the mystery associated with the riddle and a possible resulting nest egg.—Huggo
