Many people are very interested in a patent on optical fiber developed by Dr. Curtius.A young woman is hired to spy the Dr. Curtius and on the other side a researcher is looking for the documents of this patent.Dr. Curtius is called for meeting in the archive room and dies after a hit on this head.Then begins the investigation.The most important of this episode is that Horst Tappert, the main actor of the serie is also the director of this episode: between 1986 and 1997 Horst Tappert has directed 11 episodes of the serie.An interesting character is Birgit Paulsen (Brigitte Karner) who has been used for spying Dr.Curtius.
