In the offices of an export-import company a man will be killed.In the building in front of these offices an old lady goes to the kitchen , the window is still open,she sees a man struggling with another man,so she calls her husband Rudolf.What will they do ? The old lady calls the police about the murder without saying her name.When Derrick arrives at the offices, he notices the couple in the window.Some days the couple is paid for it's silence and begin to envoy the life.
The investigation of the case will not be so complicated: the most important is how much time the couple of witnesses will remain silent.
The performances of Käthe Gold (Anna Beermann) and Hans Caninenberg (Rudolf Beermann) are really excellent: we enjoy to follow the old lady and the old man in their curiosity, their doubts and their new life (eating in restaurant, buying new clothes,etc).
