The One With The Wedding...

Warning: Spoilers
I like this episode. It's enjoyable, especially Dawson's "cry face". That is just priceless. Oh so many memes, and GIFs have come from that scene. I'm sure you've seen them, even if you haven't seen this episode.

In this episode, it's the re-wedding of Gale, and Mitch, and stuff is going down. Joey has to choose between Dawson, and Pacey, which she really struggles with. Meanwhile, Grams encourages Jen to follow her heart, so she goes to visit Henry. And at the end, Joey, and Pacey sail off into the sunset together, literally. They sail in a boat, at dusk, into the sunset.

Fun fact: Jack, and Ethan's kiss was the first male gay kiss aired on network TV in the United States.

Best part of this episode: Joey picking Pacey.

Worst part of this episode: Nothing in particular.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.

Some good, some bad.

Love Dawson's crying face so much. And he has a lot of courage, knowing Pacey is a quick player who knows how to charm ladies and unfortunately Joey has become this character that can't be without a boyfriend. Boring.

The plotline I liked most and saved this episode for me was Jack's. It's nice to see him finally get closer with his father despite his first heartbreak. Andie is loveable even when writers tried so much to make us hate her. Jen gets not-the-best storylines, but loved the one with her Grams and Grams own story.

It was cool to see these kids won't allow Dawson to drown in self-pity. The kid is super self-centred, but it's not a bad person and has proved himself a good friend when needed.

I think this show could have lasted just one season, covered all high school and be very successful. I don't understand the need to pair Joey and Pacey just because the chemistry the actors had irl because they dated in the first seasons. It kind of ruins the basis of friendship. Teenagers who spends a lot of time together and feel physical attraction to each other can obviously develop deeper feeling, but to make such a big deal about it, I think it was a mistake for the writers just to create these "camps" between the very young fans. Things actually turn out very sour when kids with low self-esteem like Pacey actively and aggressively pursue girls with such low self esteem like Joey, just to prove some sort of point to themselves or others. And girls with such low self-esteem like Joey usually gets really hurt and lonely irl when in a situation like this one. To romanticize teenage angst, lust and hopeleness is not something positive to do. Because we've been there and all these "True Love" at 16 years old felt like it, but it wasn't true love after all.
