Jack Quack Like a Duck

Warning: Spoilers
I personally appreciate and respect what the writers did here, not just writing about something taboo, but also criticize and enlighten the viewers with it's own identity. In this episode Jack confesses that he is gay, such an emotionally nerve-wrecking between Jack, Andie and their father; a man that's so stubborn to put his ego beyond his son's need.

Another aspect is, Jen and Ty end of relationship with Grams interfering with her enlightenment of being gay in Christian's eyes. I'm no religious guy, but this episode just touch me the most and love Grams believe. A wonderful portrayal of a devoted lady, and what we should be. To end the episodes, we see Joey being comforted by one and only, her best friend Dawson Leery.

Much better...

That horrible professor got what he deserved, and was a lot less cartoon vilain, than in the previous episode. Jack coming out now, make more sense too. You have the explanation, and a tear jerker scene where all his family issues are addressed in the most pertinent and honest way. His talk with Joey was fair, and her reaction understandable. Jen and grams, were great as usual. And I loved seeing them tell Ty off, as much as Jen forgiving him in the end. Too bad some of the replacement songs still sound so awkward, in several key scenes, though...

The One With Jack, and Andie's Dad...

Warning: Spoilers
I enjoyed this episode. It was a good followup to the episode before, where it is discovered that Jack is actually gay.

In this episode, Joey tries to heal her wounds about her, and Jack's relationship, but is finding it a struggle. Jack, and Andie's Father comes into town, and doesn't approve of Jack's newly released-to-people "decision" to be gay. I used quote marks because it's not a choice, but Jack's Father tries to defend that it is. In the end, they send him away, and don't want anything to do with him. Meanwhile, Pacey continues to stand up for Jack against Mr. Peterson, and is faced with the decision to apologise or get suspended.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.
