[last lines]
Sue Ellen Ewing : J.R... I didn't come here to hurt you. I just wanna know where Kristin is.
Kristin Shepard : [comes walking out the house] Sue Ellen. I brought your things.
Sue Ellen Ewing : [sneers] Regular angel of mercy, aren't you? So supportive. Keeping my secrets, taking me in.
Kristin Shepard : [shakes her head] What happened? What are you talking about?
Sue Ellen Ewing : I have finally figured everything out, that's all. You have been trying to frame me.
Kristin Shepard : [snickers] You're crazy!
Sue Ellen Ewing : Well... you were right. I was at that condo last night, looking for J.R. And, yes, I did have his gun. But you saw how drunk I was, and you still gave me a drink. Knowing I'd put the gun down to take it.
J.R. Ewing : [back-flash, alone in his office on that fateful night] Who's there?
Sue Ellen Ewing : You went to the office that night, with J.R.'s gun.
[two shots, fired by coldly vengeful Kristin]
Sue Ellen Ewing : It was you, Kristin, who shot J.R. Then, the next morning, when I was showering,
[sneers]
Sue Ellen Ewing : you hid the gun in the closet.
Kristin Shepard : You think you got it all figured out.
J.R. Ewing : [to operator] Get me the police.
Kristin Shepard : I wouldn't do that if I were you, J.R. Not unless you want your... child born in prison.
[J.R. lowers receiver, and she chuckles]
Kristin Shepard : Now wouldn't that be a scandal? Jock Ewing's grandson. Jail baby.
[chuckles as J.R. glares at her and Sue Ellen looks shocked]
Kristin Shepard : I think I'll write my memoirs there.
J.R. Ewing : You're bluffing.
Kristin Shepard : Call Dr. Gibson. I saw him yesterday. He'll tell you.
voice of policeman : [on phone] Dallas police department.
Sue Ellen Ewing : [rushes forward] Give me that phone. I'm not going to jail for her.
[tries to wrangle receiver away from J.R]
J.R. Ewing : Nobody's going to jail. I'll handle Kristin my own way.
[standoff glares]

Kristin Shepard : [a knock on door, she goes to open] Yes?
Sue Ellen Ewing : Kristin?
Kristin Shepard : [opens] Sue Ellen. Come in.
[softer:]
Kristin Shepard : Come in.
Sue Ellen Ewing : I've, uh, been... wandering the streets... for, for hours.
Kristin Shepard : Can I get you some coffee, something to eat?
Sue Ellen Ewing : [softly] Mm-mm, no thanks.
Kristin Shepard : Was it awful in jail? Oh, God, what am I saying?
Sue Ellen Ewing : Kristin, could I stay with you for a few days, just until all this is sorted out?
Kristin Shepard : Oh, Sue Ellen, of course. Stay as long as you like.
Sue Ellen Ewing : [look of gratitude] What would I have done without you the past few weeks?
Kristin Shepard : Don't be silly. After all, what are sisters for?
[they hug]
