Veteran stuntman and stunt coordinator, Marc Akerstream was killed on set when a special effects explosion went wrong during filming in British Columbia.
Akerstream, 44, died on August 15, 1998 when he was struck in the head while observing an explosion of a rowboat by a piece of debris that had been thrown high into the air by the blast. The accident occurred during filming in Minaty Bay, some 10 miles south of Squamish, a tourist and logging town that was the site of a fatal accident two years ago on the set of Fox feature film "Firestorm."
