Several very good actors have to struggle with a rather poor script, and the great Jackie Coogan needed some lessons on how to mount a horse.
I never would have thought of Jackie Coogan as an action star, but by golly he pulls it off. Mostly.
His co-star is a veteran cowboy star, Russell Hayden, still looking good, still handling dialogue and action.
Veteran El Brendel this time attempts, and successfully, a Swedish accent, though his character's daughter is pure Hillbilly. And gorgeous. Why she has only four credits is just astonishing to me.
Also astonishing is why the characters are called "Peterson" all through the show but "Glasgow" in the credits.
I now look forward to Episode 2, and hope more care was taken. It looks so far as if all or most, or at least a large part, of the series is available at YouTube. It's TV and Hollywood history so is well worth watching.
