According to voice actor Jim Cummings,Carol Channing, who voiced Canina Lafur in this episode, was wearing some attire that was making too much noise during recording, including her blouse making a crackling noise into the microphone. To combat the problem, she nonchalantly shed her noisy attire-blouse and all-leaving her wearing only a bra on top for the recording session. He then said when Channing was brought in for the next episode to record for Canina Lafur, which aired next after this one,she was wearing the same clothes and did the same thing to resolve the noise issue.
Guest star Carol Channing mentions her big number "Hello Doggie," a reference to Channing's own famous role in the musical 'Hello, Dolly!'
Although this aired later, the events of the episode precede the previous episode: "A Fly in the Ointment."
This marks the first of two consecutive episodes in which Canina La Fur appears as a client to the Rescue Rangers. She is the only client to use their services twice and also happens to be their final client.
This marks the ninth and final time in the series that the Rangers visit a foreign locale. In this case, they are in Baffin Island (Canadian Territory). Previous trips include visits to London, Egypt, Spain, the Amazon Rainforest, Ireland, the Himalayan region of China, Paris, and Hong Kong (which was then part of the British Empire).
