- Sam is a friend to everyone in town. When offering to help little Billy who has a crippled leg, he works night and day in Eli's shop to create a miracle for the boy. But is he working feverishly on that or something else.
- Cheyenne arrives in a small quiet town due to a letter he received from the owner of the local bank, Cyrus Burton. He drops off his horse at Eli Zachary's livery stable. Eli's son Billy has one leg that has withered due to an earlier sickness forcing Billy to use a crutch. Billy is withdrawn due to the condition and the pampering of his father. At the bank Cheyenne learns Cyrus did not write him but he might have need of Cheyenne's talents. His bank is the temporary holding site for refined gold before the Army takes it to the mint but they are delayed picking it up. Cheyenne agrees to ride to the fort to speed them up. As he and Cyrus head to the saloon, a man picks on the city drunk Hank DeLieu. A stranger Sam Pridemore takes the gun away forcing the man to run. He and Cheyenne know each other from years ago. Sam turns out to be a miracle worker for the citizens with his various talents. However, a bank robbery has Cheyenne and Cyrus with a different thought.—Anonymous
