Can you imagine paying $45 per month for rent? That's what the Toodys were paying for their apartment in the Bronx. Even in the early '60s when this show takes place, it's a ridiculously low amount.....as Toody finds out.
You see, he and Lucille are fed up with substandard electricity, plumbing, etc. They have to bang walls and doors to get things to work and they are tired of it. However, all they had to do to get an upgrade is pay 15 percent more, but cheap Toody won't do it and, in a moment of temper, tells the landlord off and gives his 30-day notice, much to Lucille's horror.
Anyway, the episode deals mainly with what happens afterward to the Toodys in their quest to find another apartment. It's a fairly funny episode; nothing hilarious but still entertaining. Henry Lascoe is good as the landlord, "Corfu."
