excellent Campion as he investigates murder in the Farraday home
Campion is drawn into murder, a missing man, and mayhem in "Police at the Funeral," part of the Campion series starring Peter Davison as the gentleman detective with the mysterious background.
When a member of the Farraday family goes missing, Campion and his manservant Lugg travel to the house, where he meets the family -- the matriarch, Caroline Farraday (Mary Morris), who knows Campion's grandmother but promises not to reveal his true background (possibly royal); her son, William Farraday (Timothy West) who has memory problems; the bad apple, George Farraday (Tim Wylton), and others.
George has disappeared; Marcus was the last one seen with him, but Marcus can't remember anything due to his memory lapses. George finally turns up, dead. Then there is another murder, this time of Aunt Julia (Gillian Martell) who was poisoned.
Campion is convinced the killer is in the house.
The story has an interesting twist.
This episode is listed as being released in 1989, so the actress Mary Morris had already passed away.
