Dancers in Mourning: Part 1
Campion is asked to look into who is playing pranks on music hall star Jimmy Sutane.
It is getting irritating such as putting a pin on his greasepaint which leaves Jimmy with a deep scratch.
One evening Jimmy claims he has accidentally run over ageing beauty Chloe Pye who has recently been working in his show.
Jimmy is insistent that her body fell from the bridge on to his path. The doctor believes that Chloe was already dead before she was run over by Jimmy's car.
There is plenty of nasty innuendo towards Jimmy, especially by Jimmy's understudy Benny Konrad who later gets blown up.
Campion now finds himself investigating murders rather than pranks.
Ian Ogilvy might be far from saintly as Jimmy Sutane, he seems to be enjoying himself singing and dancing. It is another episode which is good to look at but is slow to get going even though by the end it is explosive.
