A good western story that was interesting to the end.

This episode begins in an odd fashion as Bill Jr and Calamity are in the rifle sights of an unknown person. After investigation, they find that the person who had taken aim on them is a ten year old Mexican boy named Pepito. We learn later on in the story that Pepito's father had died and left him a mare and a colt. But it seems that the person that sold Pepito's father the horse now claims that the horses are still his. Pepito is just defending his property.

Bill Jr and Calamity return to the area later and bring food which makes the young boy start talking. They decide to ride back to Wileyville but before they can get there two guys come riding up to take the horses and Pepito back with them to collect reward money. But after some nice horse riding skills by Bill Jr (Dick Jones), they fail in getting the child. Bill Jr and the group ride on in to Wileyville with hopes of straightening out the problem.

The episode proved entertaining for the most part, helped along by the stunts performed by Dick Jones. In one situation, Dick is riding his horse beside one of the bad guys when he does a flying kick that sends the bad guy hard to the ground. Dick Jones feet only touch the ground for a second before leaping back on his horse, Chief, and riding toward the next bad guy. Even the small part played by Hank Patterson added a real flair of western style to the episode. After some episodes that was less than entertaining, it was nice to see a show that kept the interest throughout. Good watch.
