Orthodox in the west
The Cartwrights deal with an itinerant peddler Ludwig Donath and his daughter
Aneta Corseaut traveling through the west. It's something that the Cartwrights
and the other folks in the Virginia City area have never dealt with before.
Donath is a kind man, but a strict Sabbath observing Jew and keeps Corseaut on a strong leash. He has a right to be concerned as a couple of prairie toughs have the two picked out for a robbery. He has to be rich, you know those people.
Pernell Roberts has something of an interest, but given her strong faith and her father's you know it's not in the cards.
A nice performance by Ludwig Donath best remembered as Al Jolson's father in The Jolson Story and Jolson Sings Again.

Adam and Helen
This episode has Aneta Corsaut, Andy Taylor's girlfriend of the Andy Griffith Show and Sarah Selby, Ma Smalley of Gunsmoke. Good to see them on a different show. This is another love story as Adam falls in love with Corsaut, who is really looking more fetching than she did on The Andy Griffith Show. Maybe it was the make-up, hairstyle, or just maybe her differing demeaner. Anyway it was a fair episode, not great, but very watchable, if not just for watching Adam Cartwright trying to court "Helen Crump".
