No business like show business
Patricia Crowley is a young single mother who is the guest star of this Bonanza episode. The ever hospitable Cartwrights naturally give her and her son food and shelter. She has big dreams about success in the entertainment field. But her ambitions might just far outweigh her talent.
You can't tell that to Little Joe who is as the young often do is thinking with his male member. Adam who went to college with Edwin Booth hears that Edwin is coming to Virginia City on the way to San Francisco. He gets Crowley an audition with her.
I think you can see where this one is going. Naturally Little Joe and Crowley don't hook up as Cartwrights never do.
Let's say Crowley feels like Irving Berlin there's no business like show business no matter what you do in it.
