The Sheik is hilarious episode of The Bob Cummings Show
tavm18 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Schultzy (Ann B. Davis) comes to boss Bob Collins' (Bob Cummings) office dressed as a harem maiden. She explains since there are five costumes but only four models, it would be a waste to not wear one. Pamela (Nancy Culp) comes by to have Collins try to glamorize her so she can impress a fellow bird watcher who she's only known by correspondence. Schultzy becomes the sheik in Collins' photo shoot with the models. Collins' sister and nephew come by to watch. Schultzy and the sister reminisce about Rudolph Valentino's The Sheik after which Schultzy dreams herself in said movie with the rest of the cast and her kissing Collins. Pamela comes for her makeover before her birdwatching pen-pal shows up. As Collins greets him, pen-pal calls out, "Pamela", every time a woman, whether the models or Schultzy, come out the door! Collins tells him to treat her well and how fond he is of her. Glamorized Pamela greets birdwatcher at the door. Collins and Schultzy go to another room before they hear the door close. As they get out, they find Pamela alone. She says she sent the birdwatcher south after overhearing what Bob thinks of her so she can be his! Bob says, "I'm a dead duck!" with Schultzy doing a bird call! I love the bird calls done by Pamela and the birdwatcher whose name is Warren. This is one of the most hilarious episodes with everyone, Bob Cummings, Ann B. Davis, Rosemary DeCamp, Dwayne Hickman, and Nancy Culp shining through. Anyone who's been a fan of Davis and Culp since The Brady Bunch and The Beverly Hillbillies should definitely seek this one out.
