DS Daly and DC Rawton head up an undercover operation in a pub, they're investigating a potential profiteering racke. George attends court to give evidence about an assault on him, and after it he has a score to settle.
It's one of those solid episodes, pretty good, a few talking points, some good sequences, but ultimately forgettable. The highlights involve a car chase and a close shave for DS Daly.
This could have done with a generous injection of humour, it's not a bad one, it's just a little bit flat, especially after the excitement of Personal Touch. Rod did provide a couple of laughs as the stressed out, disinterested barman.
George is definitely becoming more and more grumpy with every passing episode.
I thought Karen Archer did a good job as Karen Prentis, solid performance. Anthony Milner was the standout as crooked Bernie.
6/10.
