Beech and Carver investigate a burglary at the home of elderly lady Edna, who's had a grandmother clock, amongst other things stolen.
Loved it, absolutely loved it, great episode, for one reason in particular, Liz Smith. The story is a cracker, and we get to see a very different side to Don Beech, but nothing can beat the absolute magic of Liz Smith.
This is one of the show's most original ever episodes, it's incredibly quirky, there is no other like it.
Liz Smith will always be one of the greatest character actresses of all time in my opinion, I adored Edna, she's so quirky, unique, posh, and of course a little dodgy. I'd argue that her performance here is one of the show's best guest turns, fabulous.
Awesome, loved it, 9/10.
