Cathy attends a smash and grab scene, and discovers a dead passenger, a young lad. Tosh investigates along with Meadows, but both receive little help.
It's a good storyline, and we get some very good acting from the pair playing the lad's parents, but somehow the episode is just a little bit flat. Maybe the run of excellent episodes had set the bar so high, that when pops up which feels like a bit of a filler, it's something of a disappointment. What's lacking is any sort of conflict.
Always good to see Siobhan Hayes, just a few years before she'd become a familiar face on My Family.
There is a decent twist at the end, it's a shock I really want expecting, it was well delivered, and possibly the best thing about this episode.
Watchable, 6/10.
