The title refers to the The Foggy Mountain Boys, a influential bluegrass group popular during 1940s, 1950s, and 1960's that included Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, who played the show's theme song and were in this week's play. It also refers to "Foggy Mountain Breakdown," one of the duo's biggest hits, and which gained renewed popularity several months later when it was used as the main theme for "Bonnie and Clyde."
