Amsterdam tycoon Thomas de Witte has his notary delivery copies to police, family and others of his video-testament, accusing his wife Corinne and her lover, his former business-partner Thomas de Witte, of murdering Thomas. The next day, Thomas is fatally shot at the golf links with his own gun, which many could access in his office. Thomas's adolescent kids won't miss him, especially Isabelle, who is obsessed by her comatose mother, whose life-support he intended to stop. Corinne inherits everything, unless she's convicted of murder. Present business parter Wim Kempe becomes CEO.
