- TriviaIn the first two seasons, a point of contention for both players and fans involved the already-fired contestants who were brought back to be chosen by the two finalists to work on the last challenge. Specifically, some of the S1-2 finalists, especially Kwame Jackson in regards to the lying and incompetent Omarosa, wanted to sideline (in other words, fire) problematic "employees" but were unable to do so because of a lack of clarity on the issue. In Season 3, this was resolved when George Ross told the two finalists (Kendra and Tana) that they were "free to use their employees any way they wanted to", which included firing or giving no work to useless workers. Kendra tested this when one of her "employees", Danny Kastner, completely screwed up a presentation and she sidelined him afterwards; when Danny asked George if he could intervene, George bluntly said that Danny would only be allowed to contribute further if Kendra allowed it (and in fact, Kendra did give Danny some work for the rest of the task, which he surprisingly did a good job at).
