- Bob Neil: I didn't try to shoot you, though. If you look, you'll see my shot went high over the door. I was afraid you was going to buckshot me with that old 12 gauger.
- Storekeeper Cody: Couldn't have even if I wanted to. Wasn't even loaded. Look.
- Tagg Oakley: When a fella's around the Sheriff's office as much as I am you get to know character.
- Annie Oakley: You get to know those fractions, boy.
- Bob Neil: Now who are you and why do you want to cut down on me for?
- Dave Spencer: You can read, can't you?
- Bob Neil: I got important business with Bradshaw.
- Dave Spencer: Gun business?
- Bob Neil: I'm no gunhand.
- Dave Spencer: Ah, I guess not.
- Dave Spencer: Now the orphan comes to Uncle Dan to get out of the cold.
- Bob Neil: I don't recall having asked you for anything.
- Bob Neil: Free as the wind? At $50 a head to Charlie, that's $30,000. I don't call that free.
- Dave Spencer: Well, you're gonna get a hundred a head.
- Bob Neil: Yeah, that's why I like rustlin' 'em, better than raisin' 'em.
- Bob Neil: Get your roaming when you're young. That's my motto. I'm gonna stake that trip to California for $500. If you don't make a good lick there, come back here and I'll give you a job.
- Dan Bradshaw: It's too late, Charlie.
- Charlie Bassett: It's never too late. $80 a head is about right. But I'll split the difference and call it sixty-five.
- Dan Bradshaw: This is a double cross.
- Charlie Bassett: I don't care what it is. I'm interested in money. It's $65 a head or nothing.
- Dave Spencer: Then it's nothing.
- Annie Oakley: Lofty, these men may be some of the men that brought in the rustled herd that Tagg and I saw.
- Deputy Sheriff Lofty Craig: Why'd you let me deputise them?
- Annie Oakley: If they think we don't know anything, we might learn a lot.
- Annie Oakley: After that, why don't you try turning this ranch into an honest cow outfit and make some of those big dreams of yours come true.
- Annie Oakley: Why didn't you tell us Dave Bradshaw was your uncle?
- Bob Neil: Well, the further west I came, the more I heard that my uncle was a rustler. And I didn't want to claim any relationship until I found out for myself.
- Tagg Oakley: How do you know?
- Annie Oakley: I just know he didn't.
- Tagg Oakley: Well, if that just isn't like a girl. How're you gonna prove it? Spencer says he saw Bob firing the shot.
- Annie Oakley: Well, Spencer could be lying. From what I know about him, he probably is. I think I'll take a ride out and have a look at that ranch.
- Tagg Oakley: Me too.
- Annie Oakley: Hey, wait a minute. Tagg, you stay here and watch the office.
- Tagg Oakley: WHY? It NEVER watches me!
- Bob Neil: He had a lot more in the safe but that's all he gave me.
- Annie Oakley: Was it all bound this way?
- Bob Neil: I believe so.
- Annie Oakley: These are your uncle's initials. He must've marked each bundle of currency as he checked it. It's common practice when you're handling large sums of money.
