Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaCordelia's friend Aura is first seen in the series premiere of Buffy, Welcome to the Hellmouth (1997), in which the Buffyverse's first dead body, a boy bitten and drained by Darla, falls out of her gym locker. Aura is mentioned again in Prophecy Girl (1997).
- GoofsCordelia stays with Angel when her apartment is infested with cockroaches. After she showers, she is combing through her hair with her fingers looking in a coffee pot (because Angel doesn't have any mirrors). She sets the pot back down on the table and Angel walks past, you can see his reflection on the coffee pot.
- Quotes
Angel: You know, this really is just a place to live.
Cordelia: No, It's more. It's beautiful - and if it goes away it's like...
Angel: Like what?
Cordelia: Like I'm still getting punished.
Angel: Punished?
[Cordy nods]
Angel: For what?
Cordelia: I don't know. For what I was? For everything I said in High School just because I could get away with it? And then it all ended, and I had to pay. Oh, but this apartment - I could be me again. Punishment over Welcome back to your life! Like - like, I couldn't be that awful if I get to have a place like that? It's just like you!
Angel: Working for redemption.
Cordelia: I meant because you used to have that mansion.

[The classical piece playing in Angel's apartment while he is showering and Cordelia shows up]
Carpenter delivers one of her strongest performances in the episode, conveying the fear and vulnerability that Cordelia feels as she battles against the malevolent spirits haunting her apartment. Her interactions with Angel are also a highlight of the episode, showcasing the chemistry between the two actors.
The episode is also notable for its creative use of set design and special effects. The spooky and unsettling atmosphere of Cordelia's apartment is well captured on screen.
