No actual male Earps, who carried the surname, survived beyond that of Wyatt's own half-nephews, even though Andy claims to have a book of all descendants of Wyatt Earp (which he produces to prove a charlatan.) Despite the fact Wyatt Earp had six male siblings, only one of them, his half-brother, Newton, had any male offspring - Wyatt Clyde and Virgil Edwin. Neither of them had any male offspring, themselves, thus ending the Earp line of Nicholas Porter Earp (Wyatt's father.) Separately, Virgil Edwin Earp lived until November of 1959 (the last male namesake to carry the name) and he had occasionally worked within the film and television industry.
Per the title, Wyatt Earp was an American officer of the law in various Western frontier towns best known for his participation in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
