- Howard and Millie decide to get married. On a train trip to Millie's hometown, they discover they might not be as compatible as they had thought.
- Howard has been dating Millie for some time now and decides it's time to pop the question. She happily accepts and they decide to to get married right away. With Helen and Andy in tow as maid of honor and best man, they set off by train to Millie's home town to meet her parents and for the ceremony itself. Along the way however, they learn a little bit about themselves that gives them pause for thought. Millie is the carefree type who likes to let life just happen, while Howard on the other hand is meticulous and wants everything organized and planned down to the most minor detail. By the time they arrive at their destination, there is serious doubt about the wedding going forward.—garykmcd
- Howard and Millie decide to tie the knot. But on a train ride to Wheeling to met Millie's folks they argue over whether Howard should shave his mustache. They decide to resolve the conflict by calling off the wedding and just staying friends. They ride happily back to Mayberry with Andy and Helen.
