When Airwolf shot down the MD500 helicopters, the exploding wreckage seen was an older version with the angled stabilizer. Also the wreckage was that of a red and white helicopter. The military MD500's were olive green and had the newer "T' shaped stabilizer.
The rocket pods on one of the MD-500 helicopters varies between the 4 chambered type and the 7 chambered type.
On several occasions Hawke uses a Maverick missile against enemy aircraft. In real life this is actually an air-to-ground rather than an air-to-air weapon.
When Mr. Bruck mentions a Sidewinder missile, the view switches to a 7-chambered rocket pod on one of the MD-500 helicopters. Sidewinder missiles are air-to-air missiles which can not be carried within rocket pods.
The rotary cannons on the MD-500 helicopter are props with strobe lights on them to simulate muzzle flash. The rocket pods on the other MD-500 are also props.
At least one of the MD-500 helicopters has a rotary radar set. There is no place on the MD-500 as seen here where a rotary radar antenna could be mounted.
