Did you ever see " The In-Laws" with Peter Falk and Alan Arkin? James Hong had a great part in that (as did everyone). I prefer not to see Mr. Hong as a villain. He is one here, leader of a rogue Tong out for protection money. And the A-Team needs to take him down.
Hong's Tong is terrorizing and extorting the neighborhood. Keye Luke plays one of his victims.
It's refreshing to remember the good old days, when villains and good guys alike could be any color or cultural background. Sure, most bad guys in those contemporary shows were either white yuppie types in ties or the imaginary hoards of neo-Nazis under every bed who are still popular. But I learned long ago, and still fervently believe, racism is being bad or good to someone on account of the color of their skins. I believed it when I was a Democrat and now I've left them behind for abandoning my ideal of a color-blind society. And that means both good and bad guys.
The A-Team: for all the firepower, explosions, car wrecks &c. That pervade the show they do their best not to kill anyone. Not all the episodes are worth watching but this is one I caught that I won't toss back.
And watch "The In-Laws." It's great.
