A SECRETARY TO REMEMBER.
One bizarre mystery, well written by series writer Lawrence Kimble, as usual. Popular actress Myrna Fahey plays Janie who used to work for Bailey and Spencer. Now -- six years later -- she returns to the office, unable to remember anything over that period of time -- except she killed a man.
A really strange case that even has Stu and Jeff thinking twice, especially when the LAPD claim the dead man was NOT a homicide victim.
Definitely enough suspects to go around here, which makes this fun, and some excellent acting thanks to veteran director George Waggner. Philip Carey plays Janie's confused husband, also George N. Neise (as Walter) in a very good supporting role. Look for George Kennedy in an offbeat part as Armstrong.
About a year after this episode, Myrna Fahey (who was named after Myrna Loy) made national headlines dating baseball star Joe DiMaggio, also the victim of a stalker who could not accept the fact DiMaggio divorced the late Marilyn Monroe.
A super ending with a baseball bat! Don't miss it.
A classic episode for series fans. SEASON 5 EPISODE 18 remastered. Thanks again to METV for rerunning this legendary series.
