In San Dede they say si si
One of the few 77 Sunset Strip episodes where the accent was on the comedy
finds Jeff Spencer in the Latin American Republic of San DeDe awaiting the
arrival of JR with some papers.
Roger Smith is led to believe this is a fairly routine assignment. But Robert Logan thinking this is some kind of cloak and dagger stuff gets himself a diplomatic briefcase has it handcuffed to his wrist and leaves the key back in Los Angeles.
From this wonderful start Smith and Logan get a magical mystery tour and lesson in San DeDe politics and culture. It seems like a wonderfully and cheerfully corrupt country that I wouldn't want to live in.
Some amusing moments especially when the two get the deluxe suite at the San DeDe prison complete with television and maid service. From the Lupe Velez maid service.
This is a mildly amusing episode and a change of pace for 77 Sunset Strip.
