Bryan Cranston, who played Neil the Neil Diamond impersonator, and Diane Delano, who played Lorraine (The prisoner with the short blonde hair and no speaking part) both attended Canoga Park High School in Canoga Park, Ca. While not in the same class, they did attend school together, but in different grades.
Bryan Cranston cameos as a casino tribute singer and although Vicki Dubcek references the act as "one of the top five Neil Diamond impersonators" the song being sung is Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival and the version sung by Cranston most resembles (with lyrics 'rolling like a river') the cover version popularized by Tina Turner.
